1.    What type of training do you offer? 

Short Courses for the Civil Construction Industry. We provide courses relating to the following: Workplace Health and Safety, Water Industry, Electrical Industry, Underground Services and Plant Operators. Follow the links to our ‘Courses’ tab for a comprehensive list of the courses we provide. 


2.    Will I be assessed? 

Yes, there is an assessment process for all our courses. Depended on the type of training the assessment can take on many forms such as written questions, multiple choice, verbal questioning, simulation, and practical exercises. The training and assessment are competency based so if in the first instance you are deemed to not have the required level of understanding to achieve competence, you will be given further opportunities to a limit to achieve competence in your training. 


3.    How long does the training take? 

Short courses can range from half day through to two days. 


4.    Where does the training take place? 

Our training centre is located in Rouse Hill and we have various site locations to undertake the hands on training as required. 


5.    Is public transport available? 

Yes, a bus stop is right out front of our training centre and picks up and drops off at various times throughout the day. 


6.    I have no experience in the civil construction industry, can I still do the training? 

Yes, we accept applicants whether they are experienced or new to the industry. 


7.    What do I get when I finish the course? 

Dependent on the training undertaken you will receive either a Statement of Attainment, Statement of Completion or Statement of Attendance. The Statement of Attainment can be used toward a full qualification. 


8.    What is ‘Third Party Evidence’?

‘Third Party Evidence’ is a practical assessment students are required to complete onsite. It involves collecting and collating 2 written assessments and various forms of evidence on a work site relevant to the unit the student is completing. Evidence required includes: Plan and ITP of the job, Photographs, traffic management plan (if relevant). Students will be provided with this paperwork on the day of training.
