Course Overview
The Level 2 ASP Pathway (Rescue – Initial) course provides training and assessment for workers who may be required to perform rescue operations while working on or near live low-voltage electrical distribution networks. The course develops the skills and knowledge required to carry out EWP-based and pole-top rescue activities in accordance with approved procedures, network requirements, and safe work practices.
Training focuses on the application of risk assessment, hazard control, and emergency response procedures relevant to electrical distribution environments. Participants are trained to recognise emergency situations, apply appropriate control measures, and perform rescue activities using approved equipment and techniques while maintaining electrical safety and compliance with network operating requirements.
