UETTDRRF06B - Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel

This course deals with the safe rescue of a victim who has received an electric shock or personal injuries while working on low voltage panel. Accidents can occur while working on poles as well as in confined locations such as cable pits, substations and switchboards.

The basic principles of release and rescue should be known and understood by everyone working on or near electrical apparatus and to those assisting in such work. Procedures associated with these principles apply to rescue in any life threatening situation encountered by any persons working near live electrical apparatus

Priority must be given to release and rescue of a victim in situations involving electric shock and escape where contaminated atmospheres or fire is involved.

Endeavour Energy - Electrical Safety Rules Refresher and/or Amendments

The Endeavour Energy Electrical Safety Rules are the minimum acceptable standard for working on or near the network. The Rules allow work to be performed safely by all workers, including contractors and Accredited Service Providers.

An Authorisation process, which is a combination of training and competency assessment, is required to ensure that only appropriately competent workers carry out defined tasks on the network.

The amendments are necessary to clarify specific rules and to address risks identified in investigations into incidents.

UETTDREL14A(Refresher) - Working Safely Near Live Electrical Apparatus as a Non-Electrical Worker

This course is designed for participants who are required to operate or observe the operation of cranes and plant, hand held tools in the vicinity of live overhead power lines and associated electrical apparatus in accordance with the WorkCover Code of Practice “Work Near Overhead Power Lines” and on request Ausgrid’s NS209 Operating Cranes & Plant in Proximity to Overhead Power Lines.

UETTDREL14A(Initial) - Working Safely Near Live Electrical Apparatus as a Non-Electrical Worker

Electrical Safety Awareness - Working with Metallic Pipes

This course is designed for participants who are required to work on Metallic Water Pipes and teaches an awareness of electrical safety.
