This course offers the skills & knowledge required for field staff with responsibility for ensuring that wastewater collection assets are maintained & repaired in a safe & timely manner.

Electrical Safety Awareness - Working with Metallic Pipes

This course is designed for participants who are required to work on Metallic Water Pipes and teaches an awareness of electrical safety.

On completing the course the participant will be equipped with an indepth knowledge of basic electricity, effects of current on the human body, step & touch potential, current paths, neutral earth rela-tionship. The practical component of the course ensures that they are familiar with Rescue Procedures, carry out pipe repair/meter replacement on simulated water services.
