Course Outline

This qualification reflects the role of a skilled operator working in trenchless technology in the civil construction industry, who applies a broad range of skills in a varied work context, using some discretion and judgement and relevant theoretical knowledge. The individual may provide theoretical advice and support a team.

Packaging Rules

Successful completion of twenty six (26) units of competency made up of:
-    Eighteen (18) core units, and
-    Eight (8) elective units of which:

• At least five (5) must be chosen from Group A and/or Group B, including:
• At least four(4) at Certificate III level
• At least one(1) must be a trenchless technology (RIICTT) unit
• Up to three (3) may be chosen from Certificate II, Certificate III or Certificate IV level

Vocational Outcome

Upon satisfactory completion of this course, participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for RII31613 Certificate III in Trenchless Technology full qualification from the Resource and Infrastructure Industry Training Package.

*Eligible trainees and apprentices will have their qualification funded by the Department of Education, Training and Employment under User Choice arrangements. Student contribution fees apply at $1.60 per nominal hour for each unit of competency/module. Exemptions may apply.
